Introductory Glass Fusing

Description:

Introduction to glass fusing, including:

  • warm glass studio safety practices,

  • glass systems,

  • how to cut glass shapes,

  • kiln firing modes,

  • designing, firing, and finishing flat pieces such as tiles, magnets, and pendants

  • use of molds to give glass form.

Class meets weekly for 4 weeks. Graduates of the class will have developed the basic skills necessary to work in a warm glass studio, and are invited to enroll in advanced classes and to join our open studio group for ongoing inspiration, mentoring, and fun with glass.

For: Ages 14 and up

Class Size: Minimum of 4 students, maximum of 12

Required Supplies: All necessary tools and supplies are provided, though as students gain skill, they may be interested in acquiring glass and molds reflecting their own interests.

Schedule: Daytime or evening time slots are available.

Total Cost: $125.00
